WoW Cafe & Wingery
Rome's WOW Café and Wingery, 2817 Martha Berry Blvd., says it is not only home to Rome's best chicken wings, but also boasts one of the more diverse menus in Floyd County.
One of owner Chuck Patel's initial objectives when he opened the restaurant in October 2007 was to convince patrons that WOW was so much more than your typical wing shack. Patel is particularly proud of his fajitas, which are a specialty on his diverse menu, which includes quesadillas, tenders, burgers, and yes, for the healthier eaters, super salads.

WOW is short for World of Wings and while the restaurant is part of a chain based out of Covington, La., Patel has a significant amount of local control over his operation.Patel chose the location in Armuchee because he felt the north side of Rome was very much underserved at the time."Football is our big season," Patel said.
The restaurant is full of flat-screen television sets and on any given Saturday, patrons may be cheering on several of their favorite college teams from various sections of the restaurant.Patel schedules a variety of promotions through the week, ranging from trivia nights to bingo and karaoke.
WOW also provides jobs for some two dozen Rome and Floyd County citizens and Patel has not ruled out the notion of adding a second location in Rome in the future.The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
